FACTORES PRONÓSTICO EN LA CIRUGÍA DE LAS ESOTROPÍAS VARIABLES

RESUMEN

Se estudian las posibles influencias de una serie de factores preoperatorios en los resultados a largo plazo de 331 casos de esotropías de ángulo variable intervenidas quirúrgicamente con fadenoperación (asociada o no a cirugía clásica). No se encontró relación con la edad de intervención y la existencia de verticalismos, aunque sí la hubo con la edad de inicio del estrabismo, edad de inicio del tratamiento, refracción preoperatoria y el estado sensorial.

PROGNOSTIC FACTORS IN VARIABLE ESOTROPIAS SURGERY

SUMMARY

The possible effects of a series of preoperative factors on the results of 331 cases of variable angle esotropias operated with fadenoperation were studied (associated or not to classical surgery). No relationship was found between the age of operation and the existence of vertical factors although one was found with the beginning age of strabismus, the beginning age of treatment, preoperative refraction and sensory condition.
